What Stays the Same

• Reliable process and electrical connections
• Same approvals and certificates: ATEX, IECEx, EHEDG, 3A, WHG, USP Class VI, and more.
• PNP/NPN output types and Flex Programmer support
• No IO-Link required
• Seamless integration into existing systems.

What’s New and Improved

• Simplified Type Codes: A streamlined coding system makes ordering and managing variants easier.
• Dual Independent Outputs: The LBFS-2 can be configured with two independent switching outputs—an upgrade from the single window setting of its predecessor.
• Enhanced Measurement Accuracy: Thanks to updated electronics, the LBFS-2 offers nearly the same precision as the high-end PL20 series.
• Ex Application Compatibility: Now usable with both PROFSI3 and standard Zener barriers—improving flexibility in intrinsic safety setups.

Important Note: Due to improved measurement behavior, customers are encouraged to recheck their switching thresholds when upgrading to avoid minor deviations in sensor readings.
